How to Solve the World’s Biggest Problems with Magic

Oh, what the world would look like if we didn’t have Magic! Human beings have needed Magic to spur us into our evolution, to create something from nothing, and to create a world for ourselves worth believing in. After all, what is it we all say we are looking for in our lives? Why! – just a little more magic, please.

My job as a magician, a professional conjurer of the impossible, is to shift your perception, alter your viewpoint, pull back the curtain to a world where the only limit is your imagination.  Nothing is business as usual to a magician.  There is nothing impossible.  As human beings, we universally seek to be inspired, to experience awe and wonder, to suspend ourselves in the Great Mysteries. In fact, when we lose our sense of Magic, we lose a bit of Hope too.

A little belief in Magic can take you a long, long way.  I’ve seen perception changes transform relationships, create solutions in business, and provoke innovation in every industry.  A little dash of hope, a bit of belief, a smattering of courage, a willingness to let go to the unknown – this Magic brings, and it never ceases to solve problems where there didn’t appear to be a solution.

The world needs Magic – perhaps Now more than ever before.  We need the inspiration and to loosen our rigidity.  In the magic world, we often call what we do miracles, because there are laws of physics defying foundations that all magic, every trick and illusion, are based upon.  What we then give to our audiences, in turn, is the experience of wonder, to marvel once more, to sense something simply can’t be done, and do it anyways, hopefully in a new way that has yet to be seen before.

Am I being hyperbolic in questioning whether Magic could solve the world’s problems? I certainly hope not. It is, after all, why I do what I do, for as long as I have.

Magic brings us back our softer hearts, our free and willing imaginations… and maybe, just best of all, joy in the discovery.

May we all seek more magical thinking everyday.

Be well on the journey my friends,
