Life is Magic

What is the purpose of Magic, or a Magician anymore? I’ve asked myself this time and time again … I believe the Answer is yes.  It is, after all, the oldest of professions.  And, in spite of visual effects in movies, there is something to be said for the in person demonstration of something… Magical. But why?

When I was just starting out in Magic, I heard it said that the Magician’s sole function was to illuminate reality by illuminating imagination – pulling the curtain back into a world of imagination, acting as Guide to the individual, so that they might believe again.  That always stuck with me.

Magic is more than card tricks and floating objects. When done right, the art of Magic ignites imagination, possibility, story, and joy.

Not a bad way to make a living, in my opinion.  Inspiring others.  Igniting Hope.
