IM ON A QUEST .

More Magic. More Soul. More Connection.

(The Unstuffy Bio)

Hey there. My name is Jason Bird. I am an award-winning magician, serial creator and founder of projects and ideas, and a fierce lover of humanity.

If you’re curious about my background –  I was born in Wisconsin (Go Pack!) to Polish-American parents. We lived in Pardeeville, Wisconsin until we moved to Lake Havasu, Arizona when I was 11. My dad delivered milk and my mom raised my brothers and I while volunteering at the library. We didn’t have much growing up, but we had a lot of love.

I first discovered magic when I was 8 after checking out a book from my mom’s library, but magic was overshadowed and overrun by school, sports, and playing the trumpet. It wasn’t until I was 15, in fact, that I rediscovered magic through a young magician’s club at my high school.  The mentor of this club invited me to join a group of local magicians who gathered once a week.  Decades older, this fantastic group of fellows treated me like an equal and inspired me to continue honing my craft.  I was bit. It was all I could think about. Trumpet and sports fell away. My passion was magic, as it would continue to be for the next 22 years.

Fun fact #1:
I won the annual Lake Havasu talent competition 3 years in row.
(Don’t get too excited. It was a pretty small town back then.)

Armed with nothing more than skill, dedication, and ambition, I headed to Las Vegas when I was 18 under the auspices of going to college. Enrolled in Las Vegas’ UNLV, I left halfway into my Sophomore year at 19 when I was invited to perform  at “Caesar’s Magical Empire,” a $68-million magic-themed dinner show at Las Vegas’ Caesar’s Palace. When I was 24, I was offered an extended contract to perform at the Aladdin Resort in Las Vegas. I performed well over 3,000 shows during that time.

Since those early beginnings, I have had the good fortune over the years to perform on television, on dream stages, for VIP clients and celebrities, and travel the world doing what I love for a living.

Fun fact #2:
In 2012, the Society of American Magician’s selected my “Deja Vu” illusion- a “backwards” act in which the magic occurs in reverse- as a finalist in their annual SAM stage competition.

I won’t inundate you with a roster of clients I’ve worked with or a list of greatest hits and accomplishments. It might be fairly interesting or cause for bragging rights- but, that’s not really what it’s about for me.

In the end, all you really need to know is that I care about connections and using magic as a means to elevate the human spirit. I’m on a mission to create experiences for you that push the boundaries of Magic (and what’s possible!) to remind people of how cool it is to be alive on this crazy blue planet.

And – I’m grateful for the opportunity to create these experiences with you, to connect you to one another, and to give you a renewed sense of excitement and wonder. If you’ve read this far- I thank you. I’d like to think this is just the beginning of our journey together.

Be well on the journey, my friends,

IF YOU WANT TO UNDERSTAND MY MAGIC, START HERE.

“Write like you’re clinging to the edge of a cliff, white knuckles, on your last breath, and you’ve got just one last thing to say, like you’re a bird flying over us and you can see everything, and please, for God’s sake, tell us something that will save us from ourselves. Take a deep breath and tell us your deepest, darkest secret, so we can wipe our brow and know that we’re not alone. Write like you have a message from the king. Or don’t. Who knows, maybe you’re one of the lucky ones who doesn’t have to.”

  • Kind Words

    - THROUGH THE GRAPEVINE -
  • Jason is inherently charismatic and likable. The shows that I’ve seen really connect with me emotionally and I have high standards of what I consider theater growing up with Broadway in NYC.

    - Robb -
  • I just saw the Master’s of Illusion “Kindness” episode. You have created something unique, more moving than magic alone. I’ve worked with the homeless and I loved this illusion. I think you’ve tapped into the stronger universal awareness of human suffering.

    - Lori -
  • I attended one of your shows expecting to be entertained. I left not only entertained but transformed.

    - Marc -
  • Jason is an inspiration to the masses. He is original, thought provoking, and I predict he will impact millions with his brand of magic.
